Georgia Army National Guard
The Georgia Army National Guard is the unit that the governor reserves the ability to call up to respond to battle fires or helping communities deal with floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, snowstorms or other emergency situations.
Georgia State Defense Force
The Georgia State Defense Force is a legally constituted element of the Georgia Department of Defense, serving in support of the national and state constitutions under direction of the Governor and the Adjutant General.
The National Guard
Provides to the states units trained and equipped to protect life and property, while providing to the nation units trained, equipped and ready to defend the United States and its interests, all over the globe.
